Last updated: April 15, 2026

The short version: We collect as little as possible. Documents you upload to our AI tools are never stored " they're processed in memory and discarded. We use your (hashed) IP address only for rate limiting our free tools.

1. Information we collect

We collect minimal information. When you visit our site, our hosting provider (Vercel) and analytics tool (Google Analytics 4) may collect standard server logs including your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time of visit. This is standard for all websites and is used to understand how our site is used and to improve it.

When you use our AI tools (Document Analyzer or Letter Writer), we collect your IP address (stored in hashed form " not the raw IP), a session identifier (stored in a cookie), the type of tool used, and the number of AI tokens used for cost tracking. We do NOT store the content of documents you upload, letters you generate, or any personal information contained within them.

2. How we use information

We use collected information to: operate and improve our website and tools; enforce rate limits on our AI tools to prevent abuse; track aggregate usage and costs; collect feedback you voluntarily provide about our tools; and analyze how our content is used to improve it.

3. AI tool data handling

This section is important. When you upload a document to our Document Analyzer or generate a letter with our Letter Writer:

• Documents you upload are processed in memory and transmitted to Anthropic's Claude API for analysis. They are not stored on our servers or in any database.

• The text of generated letters is displayed to you on screen. It is not stored on our servers after your session ends.

• Your questions and letter inputs are transmitted to Anthropic's API for processing. Anthropic's privacy policy governs how they handle API data.

• We store only: a hashed (SHA-256) version of your IP address, a session identifier, the tool type used, token count, and any feedback (thumbs up/down and comments) you voluntarily provide.

This site is NOT a HIPAA-covered entity. Do not use our tools as a substitute for HIPAA-protected health information systems.

4. Cookies

We use cookies for two purposes: (1) Google Analytics 4, which uses cookies to track site usage in aggregate " you can opt out via Google's opt-out tools; and (2) a session cookie we set to enable our AI tools' rate limiting. This session cookie contains only a random identifier " no personal information " and expires within 24 hours.

5. Affiliate links
