I’m Mike, a product and technology leader based out of the Midwest with about 15 years of experience building software in finance, fintech, and AI. I hold an MBA and have spent most of my career on the product side, figuring out how to take complex information and make it genuinely useful for the people trying to use it.

This project started with my own parents. Watching them research a single decision, a new phone, how to benefit from AI, whether a suspicious email was a scam, they’d end up with fifteen browser tabs open, a legal pad full of notes, and more confusion than when they started. They’d read the same recycled content rewritten under different headlines. I kept thinking: there has to be a better way to help people 50+ navigate this. The information exists. It’s just scattered, contradictory, and written for search engines instead of for readers.

With the advancement of AI tools, I believe how websites work will drastically change. We can group great content and AI tools all in one spot to help with getting all of the information you need. If you know your audience and their intent, you can search across the web for information and return customized product research or comparisons for faster and more efficient decision making.

So I started building one. ConqueringAI combines carefully researched editorial content with free AI tools that do the tedious parts by explaining confusing Medicare letters, drafting insurance appeals, answering health questions in plain English. I’m transparent about what I am and what I’m not: I’m a product person who knows technology and information design. For health, medical, and specific financial questions, I rely on authoritative government sources and, where appropriate, credentialed reviewers whose names appear on those articles.
